Rumor Roundup (April 29, 2015): King of the Ring plans, Daniel Bryan update, heat on Booker T, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • According to the Observer, the original plan for the King of the Ring this year was to stretch it out over several weeks. Obviously that changed.
  • Daniel Bryan has been pulled from all advertising through to the end of June, so it looks like he is definitely missing Payback.
  • To that end, there's been talk of stripping him of the Intercontinental championship but that decision has yet to be made either way and they could very well keep the title on him in the end.
  • Apparently there's some heat on Booker T for his comments about Owen Hart on Raw.
  • Not surprisingly, TNA officials are apparently happy as can be after the announcement of Billy Corgan signing on got mainstream play, according to PW Insider.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
