WWE App vote sets Payback main event for next month

The latest episode of The Kane Show, er, I mean, WWE Raw started with Roman Reigns and Randy Orton debating who had the better claim to the next shot at Seth Rollins' WWE World Heavyweight Championship. And it ended with a tag team match that pitted the two potential challengers against the champ and the corporate handler he's been at odds with for the last few weeks.

In between, Booker T, Michael Cole and JBL instructed viewers to download the WWE App and decide between the three choices Kane offered up for the main event at the next pay-per-view (PPV), May 17th's Payback.

Given the choice between either The Viper or The Big Dog, or a Triple Threat match with both men, the fans overwhelming chose a three-way dance, despite (or most likely because of) Rollins' repeated entreaties against that choice.

So, just like that promo video that circulated last week, the main event of Payback will be a Triple Threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, where Seth Rollins can lose his strap without being pinned or submitted.

WWE is rolling out matches quickly with only three weeks until the next PPV. That match joins John Cena and Rusev's "I Quit" match for the United States Championship on the card.

Will The Future's reign be brief? Was he only holding onto the belt while the internet flip-flopped on Reigns again? What do you think?
