Rumor Roundup (April 27, 2015): King of the Ring return, Payback card, Daniel Bryan injury, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Rumors for the Day:

• The deal with the King of the Ring tournament appears to be that they'll do matches for it on Raw later tonight and the live special tomorrow will be the semi-finals and/or finals for it.

• Payback is expected to look a lot like Extreme Rules did with a few tweaks here and there, like Bray Wyatt vs. Ryback.

• According to PW Insider, Daniel Bryan wasn't even in Chicago yesterday so WWE waited until the last minute to announce he was out for another reason, though it's unclear what that reason could be.

• Apparently WWE has no plans on taking the title off Nikki Bella anytime soon.

• It is believed The New Day will use the Freebird Rule to defend the WWE tag team titles.
