It's unclear if this is part of the big tourning announcement they were teasing last week, but WWE did reveal the next NXT house show that will take place outside of the friendly confines of Florida yesterday.
#NXTAlbany! We'll see you on 5/16 at the Washington Ave. Armory! Tix on sale 5/1 at 10 AM on http://t.co/brAqISX6rM! pic.twitter.com/8dQF9nFTEM

Those searching for a pattern or some other glimpse into Triple H's master plan for his brand based on this date and location are probably going to be scratching their heads.
On the "indy killer" front, it is the same date as the second night of Ring of Honor and New Japan's Global Wars show in Toronto. But the New York capital and the biggest city in Canada are not exactly right next door to one another, so it seems unlikely that NXT will cut into their gate, a six hour drive away.
The Washington Avenue Armory lists its capacity at 4,300 seats, making it a logical middle ground based on attendance in San Jose and Ohio, as opposed to the jump to 15,000 seat venues that was rumored when the Philadelphia plans were abandoned.
Main roster house shows will be taking place farther east and down the Atlantic coast on the 16th, as talent heads toward Baltimore for Payback on Sunday, May 17th.
Maybe they simply wanted to announce the date while they were in Albany for Raw. There's surely some strategy to that day and locale - perhaps it will be more evident when whatever announcement they're teasing for the 22nd is made.
In the meantime, if you find yourself in Albany next month, the WWE website and the Washington Avenue Armory lists the onsale date for this show as May 1st. Tickets will be available through Ticketfly.com.
Excited?
