Sting's future with WWE reportedly up in the air following WrestleMania 31

WWE.com

While many may (or may not) get upset with Vince McMahon asserting that WWE plucked Sting from obscurity and made him a hot main event level attraction for WrestleMania 31 last night in Santa Clara, California, the Chairman isn't exactly wrong.

The question now, though, is what comes next?

According to a report from PW Insider, the match with Triple H was booked to end the way it did, with the two shaking hands in the middle of the ring like it was the last one, due to the fact that "no decisions" have been made as to whether or not the Stinger will be wrestling going forward.

He made clear in a recent interview that he would be open to coming back for something at Survivor Series or even WrestleMania 32 next year in Dallas if WWE asked, but he was "feeling" like this would be his last match.

If WrestleMania 31 taught us anything it's that a lot can change in a year, and that change can occur at the drop of a hat. Sting is scheduled to be at Monday Night Raw later on this evening and rumors are floating of various possibilities, so we may have something close to our answer by the time the night is out.

Stay tuned.
