Undertaker returned after almost one full year away tonight at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California for a match against Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 31. The appeal of the streak was gone but "The Phenom" received a hero's welcome because, at the end of the day, that's still Undertaker working a match at a WrestleMania.
It didn't take long at all before they went right into 'Taker's usual trademark spots. Old School, the leg drop on the apron, Snake Eyes, all of it. Wyatt intercepted him at the pass a time or two, but this was all about reestablishing "The Deadman" as the force he once was.
At first.
The match very quickly became much more about Wyatt throwing the kitchen sink at Undertaker and seeing if the old vet could hold up to the punishment.
If you're wondering, yes, they did the "Wyatt spiders up into Undertaker sitting up" spot and it was absolutely glorious. Shortly after, Undertaker found his way out of another Sister Abigail attempt and hit a Tombstone, the second of the match, and that was enough to get the pin.
The man rides again.
