The main pay-per-view (PPV) portion of tonight's WrestleMania 31 showcase kicked off with the Intercontinental championship ladder match, featuring Bad News Barrett, R-Truth, Daniel Bryan, Stardust, Luke Harper, Dean Ambrose, and Dolph Ziggler all fighting over the while leather strap.
Here's the best way to describe the match: There were a ton of high spots, a lot of simulated violence that all too often closely resembled actual violence, and it was essentially the highlight reel for the old WWE disclaimer telling kids not to try this at home.
Everyone took a big bump at some point or another.
The finish saw Bad News Barrett attempt to Bullhammer everyone to get them out of the way but he ate a knee from Bryan. That led to an epic standoff on top of a gigantic ladder between Bryan and Ziggler, as the two traded punches and headbutts until Ziggler wilted and Bryan grabbed the title to win the match.
