The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at tonight's WrestleMania 31 pay-per-view at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, took place on the night's pre-show and featured a ring full of wrestlers of varying degree of superstardom duking it out. This included many of those who were in the Fatal 4-Way tag title match just minutes before.
For those of you riding the AxelMania train, it was sent off the rails right away. Everyone in the match got together, let Axel tear his shirt, and then tossed him over the top rope.
They let NXT tournament winner Hideo Itami have a moment early on when he eliminated Bo Dallas before bumping into Big Show and getting tossed out after a brief effort to stave off his own elimination. They moved on to focusing on the big men in the match as they cleared out the ring a bit before the attention turned to trying to get them out.
As the herd thinned out, the crowd started chanting for Damien Mizdow. Cesaro body slammed Kane out and then went after Big Show. They teased a repeat of last year but Cesaro couldn't slam Show over the top rope, instead getting eliminated himself.
Ryback came in to take on Show and he too was tossed.
That left Miz, Mizdow, and Show.
Miz demanded Mizdow help him get rid of Show and Mizdow finally refused with the full support of the crowd. After Miz berated him for at least a full minute, Mizdow eliminated him.
That left just Mizdow and Show, of course.
Show more or less laughed at Mizdow and held his arms out daring him to make himself famous. So that's exactly what he did, engaging in a spirited back-and-forth that included literally biting Show's hands to get him off the apron. Show countered but Mizdow would not quit.
Until it didn't matter and Show eliminated him to win the match to thunderous boos.
