Hideo Itami wins NXT tournament at Axxess; enters Andre the Giant Battle Royal at WrestleMania 31

WWE held day one of WrestleMania Axxess tonight in California in advance of the WrestleMania 31 pay-per-view this coming Sun., Mar. 29, 2015, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. As part of the night's activities, an NXT tournament was held, with the winner earning entry into the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the WrestleMania pre-show.

Finn Balor def. Tyler Breeze

Itami def. Balor

This is at least somewhat surprising considering there have been rumors of a main roster call up for literally everyone in this group outside of Itami. Perhaps, then, we shouldn't really be all that surprised at all.

Either way, Itami will work his first WrestleMania in just a couple days.
