Brock Lesnar now betting favorite to beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 31 after re-signing with WWE

Just yesterday, we published odds and betting lines for WrestleMania 31, scheduled for this Sun., Mar. 29, 2015, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. At the time, the finish of the main event match-up featuring Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns appeared fairly easy to predict. After all, there was no way to be sure Lesnar would re-sign with WWE, what with the UFC breaking the door down with the Brinks truck they were backing up to it.

Because of that, Reigns was favored at -170.

Then, Lesnar went on ESPN Sportscenter and announced that he had signed a new multi-year contract with WWE. The effect on the betting line (courtesy of Bovada) was immediate:

His sticking around does not in any way guarantee that he will retain the WWE world heavyweight championship but it certainly casts doubt on the idea that Reigns will be crowned the new king of the promotion. Whether or not you believe Reigns' sustained push to this position has worked, it's at least questionable. The same cannot be said of Lesnar, who has been lights out every time he's appeared on television or pay-per-view.

If nothing else, this year's WrestleMania just got a lot more interesting.
