Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- The early indications on WWE trying to sign Brock Lesnar to a new deal at Raw yesterday are that he did not sign. That doesn't mean he won't, but, if true, it means he'll go into WrestleMania without a new contract. (Update from Geno: This rumor was wrong and he did sign a new deal. Details here.)
- The Rock teased recently that he could appear at WrestleMania 31 but as of now there are apparently no plans to use him.
- Although he appeared on Raw last night in a surprise, it's still not expected that Hulk Hogan will do anything at WrestleMania 31 either.
- MetsFan4Ever is back with a rumor that Samoa Joe has been telling people he is, in fact, going to WWE and will work in NXT.
- WWE apparently talked of running a tribute graphic to Perro Aguayo Jr. on Raw last night but ultimately decided against it.
