WWE today announced that an NXT tournament will be held at WrestleMania Axxess next Thursday night with the winner gaining entry into the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 31 on Sun., Mar. 29, 2015, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Tournament participants will include former NXT Champion Adrian Neville, Finn Bálor, Tyler Breeze and Hideo Itami, WWE.com has confirmed. WrestleMania Axxess, which is the year's biggest gathering of WWE fans, takes place at the San Jose Convention Center Thursday, March 26, through Sunday, March 29.
There have been rumors for some time that Neville would be getting a main roster call up sooner rather than later. That said, there have also been rumors that both Balor and Itami were never meant to spend much time in developmental, though Triple H has turned NXT into so much more than that.
Then again, it's entirely possible the winner of this match simply works the Andre Battle Royal before moving right back down to NXT.
