The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the one and only WrestleMania 31 event set to take place on Sun., Mar. 29, 2015, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the company's annual "Showcase of the Immortals". It's the biggest show of the year.
And it's just four weeks away.
So far, a number of matches have gone official for the show. They are:
- Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns (WWE world heavyweight championship)
After some doubt that Vince McMahon was going to stick to his guns and put Reigns in this spot all by his lonesome, the Roman Empire pushed ahead with a win over Daniel Bryan at Fastlane to validate the Royal Rumble victory back in January. Now it's on and Paul Heyman is telling us Reigns is the greatest of all the greats but he's not greater than Lesnar. We shall see.
- Triple H vs. Sting
When the Stinger made his debut in WWE, it was at Survivor Series to push The Authority out of power. They regained it rather quickly -- thanks, John Cena! -- and Triple H quickly turned his attention to the former franchise of WCW. He challenged Sting to a confrontation at Fastlane, which led to Sting suggesting a match at WrestleMania. "The Game" quickly accepted and it's time to go back to the Attitude Era.
- Intercontinental championship ladder match
WWE has yet to officially announce who will be in this match outside of current champion Bad News Barrett but current television angles indicate Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, R-Truth, and Dolph Ziggler are all on the list. Five is an odd number, so one would assume they'll add another. Who? Stay tuned.
- Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
The second annual "let's get everyone who doesn't have anything better to do on the card" match currently features: The Miz, Curtis Axel, Ryback, Fandango, Adam Rose.
Those are all the matches that are currently official but Bray Wyatt vs. Undertaker and John Cena vs. Rusev look like locks.
Liking the card so far?
