WWE Fast Lane 2015 results: Rusev submits John Cena to retain US title

Rusev had his biggest pay-per-view (PPV) match to date tonight at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee when he put his United States championship on the line against John Cena at the WWE Fastlane event.

And you know what? It was a fun match.

They certainly didn't cut a blistering pace but Rusev is a perfect foil for Cena, an athletic big man who can dish out heavy punishment of his own. And while Cena called out one too many spots, they did well to hit on each one.

The finish saw Rusev lock in The Accolade only for Cena to power out of it after a great struggle. As he did so, Lana rushed the ring to distract the referee, allowing Rusev to hit Cena with a low blow to set up yet another Accolade. This time, Cena simply passed out.

But he did not give up.

Rusev is still your US champion.
