Main Event may be off U.S. airwaves and on hiatus from WWE Network, but it still airs in international markets and is distributed via the Hulu Plus streaming service while WWE waits for their contract issue with Sky to expire or their own over-the-top technology to include region-specific programming functionality.
Long story short, though many fans don't have access to the show or may have even forgotten about it since it left the Network with its launch in the United Kingdom, it's still a show WWE tapes using the roster present for Smackdown on Tuesday. So when Kalisto showed up there last night for a match with his NXT tag partner Sin Cara, it counted as the luchador's main roster debut.

The Lucha Dragons defeated Curtis Axel & Heath Slater to kick off the show. No word if this was a one-off appearance aided by it's being filmed near NXT's home base in the Orlando area (the show was filmed in Fort Lauderdale, about three hours by car. Bull Dempsey also worked a dark match before the Smackdown taping started).
But with rumors that Triple H is looking for latino stars to fill the void left by Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio (now el Patrón), Sin Cara's increased presence on the main shows and the fact that the duo recently dropped the NXT tag titles, lost their rematch and are currently without a direction on the Developmental brand, it could be a sign that Kalisto's long speculated on course toward replacing Mysterio has begun.
Is the former Samuray del Sol ready for the main roster? Excited for Kalisto on Raw or Smackdown?
