Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- After some fear that John Cena may miss the Fast Lane pay-per-view as a precaution while dealing with his eye injury, he returned to action in Abu Dhabi and the belief is he will be okay for the show. They wrote it into the story with Rusev both to explain it and to protect him.
- While Batista is still reportedly under contract with WWE, there is an expectation that he's never coming back and his movie career has taken off to such a degree that his pro wrestling days are over.
- For those who watched SmackDown this week, yes, it appears we're getting yet another Big Show babyface turn.
- Stardust and Goldust are going to have a match but it's looking unlikely that match will take place at WrestleMania 31. It could happen as early as the Fast Lane pay-per-view and may be announced at Raw on Monday.
- Xavier Woods is back wrestling at live events and should be working matches with The New Day soon on TV.
