Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.
Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.
We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.
Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - WWE's Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV), the January 26th episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Lucha Underground & WWE NXT from Wednesday the 28th, Thursday's free web release of ROH TV and WWE SmackDown on SyFy, and the TNA Impact Wrestling that aired on Friday, January 30th.
Make YOUR mark, smarks!

First off, apologies for last week's poll. In the Rumble hectic-ness, I didn't get a chance to click on The S3 until Tuesday, after which most of its traffic is gone. In order to keep the advantage that performers on televised shows are supposed to receive from click-votes, I assigned poll points after tallying either comments that specified who they would have voted for if the poll worked, or the highest vote for a televised performance (e.g. if someone voted 1.Hideo Itami, 2. Bayley, 3. Rusev, 4. Matt Taven - the "poll" vote went to Rusev).

It's like he never left
- You weren't thrilled with the WWE's 'go home' efforts, but The Beard's return to the ring and getting our money's worth out of the WWE World Heavyweight Champ when he F5'd fools left and right merited your praise.
- Even before any Rumble backlash, NXT got its usual high marks for good action and logical booking. The former KENTA's best WWE peformance to date got the best grades, but his dance last week and the former tag partner who won to face him next week both made the cut, too.
- NXT alums showed well also, for workrate and heeling. Epic heeling in the case of the man with the Money in the Bank briefcase (more on his when we look at the Annual Standings).
- The Hugster showed some ruthless aggression to earn a few points in a return to the list, and a TNA regular who plays his character to the hilt made an impression by selling another lady love down the river.
The S3: 2014-15, Week 42

3. Hideo Itami

Points in our weekly Standings determine our annual list - full details on rules and scoring HERE.
That's the latest in the year that we've ever had to change out the name next to #1 in our annual ten. Good run for the Architect or epic collapse for the Lunatic Fringe?
