Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • The Observer is reporting The Rock wrestling at WrestleMania 32 is still not on the table but WWE will likely try to ensure he makes an appearance of some sort.
  • In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that Roman Reigns vs. John Cena was a plan before Seth Rollins was injured and it's possible it could still be in the cards, possibly as a WrestleMania match.
  • Part of the expected changes with SmackDown next year on USA have to do with how the show is presented, which is apparently the impetus behind hiring Mauro Ranallo. He may be allowed to commentate without as much producing in the normal WWE style like on Raw.
  • According to the Observer, Jeff Hardy needs another surgery on his knee and he won't be wrestling again until the end of 2016.
  • Lucha Underground is apparently taping season three in March.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
