Rumor Roundup (Dec. 15, 2015): Donald Trump's WWE Hall of Fame spot, John Cena's Hollywood future, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • WWE isn't worried about Donald Trump backlash, and issued a statement to the Boston Herald that they're "not in the business of politics and has no plans to respond to any of the political rhetoric."
  • John Cena will add another big comedy flick to his Hollywood resume thanks to a small cameo in the upcoming Will Ferrell/Mark Wahlberg movie Daddy's Home.
  • Plans for a Shane McMahon DVD set are on hold. No word on why, but the set was on the schedule for 2016 and has now been replaced by "The Best of the United States Championship".
  • In what many are taking as a strong sign that SmackDown may finally get an identity distinct from Raw, new lead announcer Mauro Ranallo will not take a WWE-owned name.
  • Though not as big a name as Rey Mysterio, Lucha Underground is adding another face a lot of people will recognize - Joey Ryan.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
