Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch: Rematch of one of the year's best gets the Kickoff spot for WWE TLC

Breaking the tradition set last month at Survivor Series - but not by much - WWE has announced the match that will air as part of the free Kickoff show for tonight's TLC pay-per-view (PPV) from Boston, Massachusetts.

And it's a dandy, and the pre-show slot actually may give Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch a chance to match their showstopping performance from NXT's TakeOver: Unstoppable earlier in the year.

Irishwoman Lynch is one of the only babyface characters in the women's division, at least for now. That all may change when her two former teammates battle for the Divas title on the main card, but going into tonight's show, the pun-loving Lass Kicker is as honorable as Divas come these days.

She may not be cheered, however, as The Boss is in her hometown...and a new alliance with the unicorn horn-wearing New Day probably won't get many boos from a smarky PPV crowd.

Regardless of pop and heat, the winner of this match should be in the driver's seat for #1 contender status against the winner of Paige vs. Charlotte.
