Smarks prove to be kryptonite to Swiss Superman

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - WWE's Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV), the November 23 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Wednesday's WWE NXT, TNA Impact and ROH TV, WWE SmackDown from November 26, and any other internet streaming wrestling that aired from November 22 - 28.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

Pick your reaction to the news that Cesaro's "year" is over:

(via Landvogt TV, aka German SmackDown - and on tumblr)

  • Damnit.
  • Three of the four semi-finalists in the tournament make up 3/4 of the week't top four (I'll let you guess which member of the final four missed the top ten entirely - if you can remember who the last guy was).
  • In addition to the winner of the week, another strong performance in a quarter final loss netted the Man Who Gravity Forgot his first Standings points in a long while. As did the latest bout of forgetfulness from a dude eliminated in round one.
  • Saying the line about a dead brother earned more votes than being thrown under the bus by your bosses about it, while the women of NXT represent for actually fighting over who's the better wrestler.
  • Good work, Rev. And thanks for the memories, Mr. Puroresu.

The S3: 2015-16, Week 33

1. Cesaro
2. Kevin Owens
3. Roman Reigns
4. Dean Ambrose
5. Paige
6. R-Truth
7. Neville
8. Bayley
9. Genichiro Tenryu
10. Alexa Bliss

Points in our weekly Standings determine our annual list - full details on rules and scoring HERE.

The guys chasing him are all out of the picture for now (two of them for the remainder of our "year")'d almost think KO was taking them out like they were Sami Zayn or something.

The S3 Performer of the Year - through the Week Ending November 21

1. Kevin Owens - 181 points
2. Seth Rollins - 167.5
3. Cesaro  - 116.5
4. John Cena - 115.5
5. Roman Reigns - 80.5
6. Dean Ambrose - 72
7. Xavier Woods - 69.5
8. (tie) Sasha Banks - 65.5
8. (tie) Neville - 65.5
10. Big E - 56

Relive the week - IF YOU DARE! - with our sections on Survivor SeriesRaw, Impact, NXT, Smackdown, and ROH (which loses poll eligibility after this week, but will always be available for comment voting) the vote for your favorite performance...and hope whoever wins can stay off the operating table.
