Rumor Roundup (Nov. 23, 2015): Survivor Series plans, Cesaro/Goldust, NXT returns, more!

New, comments

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • According to the Observer, the decision on who would win the WWE world heavyweight title at Survivor Series last night wasn't made until late, with debate going on the day of the show.
  • The word going around is Cesaro was planned for the 5-on-5 Survivor Series elimination tag last night before his injury and that's why Goldust returned.
  • Independent promotions that either have booked James Storm in the past or who were trying to book him for the near future are reporting that he'll be with WWE/NXT on a full time basis going forward.
  • Funaki was back with NXT this weekend for their live events, which leads to speculation that his countryman and friend Hideo Itami will be returning to the Performance Center full time after a stay in Birmingham, Alabama to focus on rehab - and likely one step closer to an in-ring return. Funaki was with Itami while he worked with Dr. James Andrew and team in Birmingham.
  • Appears to be some contention and possibly even bad blood involved in Brooke Adams departure from TNA. PWInsider says that she is still under contract to the company, but declined when they tried to get her to go on their India tour. TNA officials are now saying that she won't be wrestling anywhere any time soon.
