Goldust returns at Survivor Series

New, comments

He's back!

Sunday's Survivor Series pay-per-view in Atlanta had a big surprise for fans right off the bat. In the unadvertised Kickoff Show match, WWE presented a traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series tag team bout. The heel team came out first, comprised of The Miz, Bo Dallas and Stardust and the Ascension, otherwise known as the Cosmic Wasteland.

The second team out was Neville, The Dudley Boyz, Titus O'Neil and the returning Goldust. Much to the chagrin of Goldust's brother, Stardust, the strange one appeared in his first match since suffering a shoulder injury in May. He made an immediate impact, eliminating Viktor.

Goldust was last seen on WWE television as Dustin Runnels, appearing on NXT TakeOver: Respect to help present a trophy to the winners of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament, Finn Bálor and Samoa Joe.

This is probably a good time to remind everyone that Goldust only needs the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to become the 13th (and likely final) "original format" grand slam champion.
