WWE announces NXT show for Royal Rumble weekend in Orlando, Florida

Tickets have sold out for next year's Royal Rumble on Sunday, January 26 in Orlando, Florida. But that doesn't mean there won't be plenty of wrestling in the area to keep fans entertained.

While the "don't call it Developmental" brand won't be holding one of their live TakeOver specials as they did in New York for SummerSlam, NTX will have a presence, Triple H announced today. The taping for their weekly WWE Network show will take place at the University of Central Florida's CFE Arena, a venue that holds in the vicinity of 9,000 for other sporting events.

That, combined with the vibe contibuted by fans in town for one of WWE's most loved pay-per-view (PPV) shows, should make for an atmosphere more Brooklyn than Full Sail.

It's another part of what will be a very busy wrestling weekend in Theme Park Capital of the World, as the Rumble joins WrestleMania and SummerSlam as days long events that serve as conventions for pro graps fans. In addition to NXT and the main roster, the company's partner promotion Evolve is running shows there all weekend long - inlcuding one that will go head-to-head with Friday night's NXT taping.

Friday

EVOLVE 53, 9PM in Ybor City's The Opheum
NXT television taping, time TBA in Orlando's CFE Arena

Saturday

EVOLVE 54, 2PM  in Orlando's Downtown Recreation Complex

Sunday

EVOLVE 55, 2PM in Orlando's Downtown Recreation Complex
Royal Rumble, 8PM in Orlando's Amway Center
