Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- The Observer is reporting that Seth Rollins vs. Triple H had replaced Triple H vs. The Rock as one of the top matches at WrestleMania 32 before Rollins was injured.
- That said, WWE is likely going straight to Rollins vs. Triple H upon his return, possibly as a major match at SummerSlam next year.
- Neither The Rock nor Ronda Rousey are expected to wrestle at WrestleMania 32 now, according to the Observer, but it's possible both make appearances at the show.
- The expectation is the WWE world heavyweight title tournament will see the semi-finals and finals take place at Survivor Series.
- The latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that WWE may be interested in a Michael Bennett/Matt Taven tag team when their contracts come up.
