WWE SmackDown results, open thread (Jan. 9, 2015): We will see you Thursday, yes?

WWE on YouTube

WWE SmackDown comes waltzing back into our lives one last time on Friday tonight (Jan. 9, 2015) from Laredo, Texas with a taped show on the SyFy channel featuring all the latest build to the upcoming Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for late next month in Philadelphia.

Because SmackDown is a taped show, you can simply go read the spoilers to know everything that happens (find them by clicking here). We will provide results below anyway.

You can use this space to discuss all the events as they occur, however, and it's probably going to enhance your viewing experience. In fact, I know it is because we're a lot of fun around here.

Enjoy the show!

SMACKDOWN RESULTS

- Seth Rollins (w/ J & J Security) promo is interrupted by Roman Reigns.  Roman calls him some names and attacks, tossing Noble, Mercury and Rollins.  Kane comes out and makes a tag match (playa) main event for Big Show & Seth vs. Reigns & a partner of his choosing.

- Miz sucks up to Kane, saying he's cool with Miz TV being cancelled and asks for a rematch with The Usos instead of the triple threat.  The Corporate Demon agrees until Mizdow spills water on him and he leaves the Dusts in the title bout.

- Highlights of Cesaro & Tyson Kidd's Rosebud impersonation from Raw are shown to set-up Adam Rose w/ the Masters of the WWE Universe vs. Big E with The New Day.  E wins clean in a couple of minutes.

- Another Ascension promo, again mentioning the Road Warriors and to change it up this time, Powers of Pain.  They then squash These Guys.

- The Usos talk to Byron Saxton about how messed up The Authority firing Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan and Ryback was.  They promise to keep their belts.

- More Raw highlights to set up a singles match between Alicia Fox and Naomi, which Foxy wins with her feet on the ropes.

- Highlight of Cole's sitdown with Triple H, and the ambulance match from Raw.  Bray Wyatt promo where he announces he's in the Rumble match.

- The Usos retain in a match that sees Stardust accidentally low bridge his brother out of the ring before Goldust took the pin.

- Footage of Bad News Barrett winning the Intercontinental belt, followed by a promo where he invites Dolph out for his rematch.  BAD NEWS - he's fired and can't come out.   Sin Cara comes out and upsets him in a non-title match.  The IC Champ, ladies and germs!

- A reminder that Daniel Bryan is wrestling next week.

- Dean Ambrose is your mystery partner, Shield babyface 'shippers!  The Lunatic Fringe takes all of The Authority lackeys out with a dive, Rollins misses a curb stomp attempt and eats a spear.  Roman helps Ambrose up the ramp to end the last Friday Night Smackdown.
