Lucha Underground returns tonight (Jan. 7, 2015) with Aztec Warfare to determine their first champ

After a break for the holidays, El Rey Network's Lucha Underground returns tonight at 8PM Eastern.

Our man Manolo ran down a list of stories to watch in 2015 from the show, a mix of lucha libre and grindhouse movie action from Mexico's AAA and filmmaker Robert Rodriguez. One of the angles he highlighted gives us tonight's main event, a twenty-man match called Aztec Warfare that will determine the promotion's first champion.

Above you can watch an exclusive clip from the match. Competitors will enter Royal Rumble-style, one every 90 seconds. Instead of eliminations being accomplished by throwing opponents over the top rope, however, pinfalls or submissions will be required. The no disqualification bout continues until all but one competitor has been defeated - the winner receives the Lucha Underground championship belt from owner Dario Cueto.

In addition to newcomer Superfly and LU main eventers Johnny Mundo (formerly John Morrison in WWE), Prince Puma (independent star Richochet) and Big Ryck (WWE's Ezekial Jackson) who can be seen in the clip, we know that Fenix will be entrant number one, and Mil Muertes will be the final man into the contest,

Beyond that? Tune in tonight to find out!
