Rumor Roundup (Jan. 31, 2015): WrestleMania 31 main event, Roman Reigns heel turn, NXT, more!

New, comments

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • While the WrestleMania 31 main event match pitting Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar is set in stone and not changing, there's at least been some talk of the possibility of Reigns turning heel and if Lesnar signs a new deal with the company, they could attempt a double turn and extend the feud.
  • Goldust vs. Stardust is a possibility for WrestleMania 31 but it depends on how the card looks when it's all filled out.
  • Although there has been some talk of it, it appears as though NXT won't have a presence at WrestleMania outside of the norm after all.
  • WWE and Tapout are apparently close to announcing a deal to partner up for pro wrestling clothing. Tapout, you may remember, is a former UFC sponsor.
  • Mickie James made a surprise return to TNA for tapings in Glasgow but it's not expected that she'll be back full time.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
