Rumor Roundup (Jan. 3, 2015): WrestleMania 31, Royal Rumble, Brock Lesnar, Daniel Bryan, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • It's no longer clear if Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar is the plan for WrestleMania 31. It's not clear exactly how WWE is planning on handling Lesnar with his future up in the air.
  • Apparently there's a huge rift within WWE, or at least a ton of ongoing debate, regarding the entire WrestleMania 31 match card. Daniel Bryan's return has complicated matters quite a bit and there's some speculation that The Rock may not be out of the picture after all.
  • Speaking of Bryan, don't be surprised if they go back to Sheamus and the heel turn that's been discussed for him includes eliminating Bryan from the Royal Rumble match.
  • There have been some rumors going around that Sting could enter the Royal Rumble match as a major surprise, but that does not appear to be in the plans.
  • Alberto Del Rio will almost surely compete in MMA at some point in 2015 but don't expect that to be in the UFC.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
