Roman Reigns responds to being booed at the Royal Rumble in Philadelphia

Knowing he was going to win the Royal Rumble last night at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, WWE had camera crews following Roman Reigns around backstage to document his journey to victory in the most popular match of the year.

He was not, however, the most popular performer, at least not on this night and not with this crowd.

About all the boos (something The Rock couldn't stop -- and couldn't help but laugh about later), Reigns had this to say:

"You know, what? I went out there, I did my thing. One hell of a crowd, you know what I mean? Whether it's love or hate, if I can be out there that's all that matters for me. If I can go out there and they're going to make some noise... they're going to do what they want, and that's cool. They paid their money, they can do whatever they want, they can cheer, they can boo. As long as I can be a part of it and do my thing, I'm smitten, man."

It's hard to tell if that's Reigns operating within the confines of the kayfabe WWE world or if that's actually how he feels. Either way, that's an answer that reads as though it came straight from the mouth of John Cena, the current golden boy within the company and the man whose spot Reigns is gunning for.

How to feel about that...
