Rumor Roundup (Jan. 26, 2015): Roman Reigns heel turn, John Cena vs. Rusev, Randy Orton, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • As of right now, it does not look like Roman Reigns is turning heel, at least that's not the plan. Apparently, The Rock was there to do what it looked like, help Reigns get over. So, for now, WWE does not want to turn him heel.
  • They shot an angle on the WWE Network last night with Rusev and John Cena getting into a pull apart. It appears that is the direction for WrestleMania 31 as had been rumored. There are also rumors that Hulk Hogan will be involved in some way, likely in Cena's corner.
  • According to PW Insider, Randy Orton was in Philadelphia last night but obviously he wasn't used in the Rumble. It's expected that he'll return at any time.
  • There are rumors going around, thanks to local advertising, that a Last Man Standing match between Roman Reigns and Big Show could be planned for the Fast Lane pay-per-view next month.
  • Layla provided her own update to her injury status, posting on Twitter that she had a "personal surgery". According to PW Insider, there is "no timetable" for her return.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
