Roman Reigns wins the Royal Rumble, is loudly booed for not being Daniel Bryan

The headlining attraction at tonight's Royal Rumble pay-per-view at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was, of course, the Royal Rumble match itself.

Roman Reigns is your winner, and he will headline WrestleMania 31 against Brock Lesnar.

Here's the order of entry:

1. The Miz
2. R-Truth
3. Bubba Ray Dudley
4. Luke Harper
5. Bray Wyatt
6. Curtis Axel (attacked, replaced by Erick Rowan)
7. Boogeyman
8. Sin Cara
9. Zack Ryder
10. Daniel Bryan
11. Fandango
12. Tyson Kidd
13. Stardust
14. Diamond Dallas Page
15. Rusev
16. Goldust
17. Kofi Kingston
18. Adam Rose
19. Roman Reigns
20. Big E
21. Damien Mizdow
22. Jack Swagger
23. Ryback
24. Kane
25. Dean Ambrose
26. Titus O'Neil
27. Bad News Barrett
28. Cesaro
29. Big Show
30. Dolph Ziggler

And the order they were eliminated (and who they were eliminated by):

1. The Miz (Bubba Ray)
2. R-Truth (Bubba Ray)
3. Bubba Ray (Bray Wyatt)
4. Luke Harper (Bray Wyatt)
5. Erick Rowan (Bray Wyatt)
6. Boogeyman (Bray Wyatt)
7. Sin Cara (Bray Wyatt)
8. Zack Ryder (Bray Wyatt)
9. Tyson Kidd (Daniel Bryan)
10. DDP (Rusev)
11. Fandango (Rusev)
12. Daniel Bryan (Bray Wyatt)
13. Adam Rose (Rusev)
14. Kofi Kingston (Rusev)

23. Dolph Ziggler (Big Show/Kane)
24. Bray Wyatt (Big Show/Kane)
25. Dean Ambrose (Big Show/Kane)
26. Big Show (Roman Reigns)
27. Kane (Roman Reigns)
28. Rusev (Roman Reigns)

To the shock and surprise of all, Bryan went in at 10 and was eliminated not long after. He didn't get a big run in the match and he was treated not all that different than any of the other mid-carders Wyatt had tossed.

Naturally, the crowd in Philadelphia turned on the match and booed everyone outside of Ambrose, Ziggler, and, when he showed up late, The Rock. But they booed the hell out of Roman Reigns, even after he won and The Rock gave him a glowing endorsement.

That seemed to be WWE's plan, to bring Rock in and have him give Reigns his blessing. The hope was the fans would do the same.

They did not.

The show went off the air much like last year in Pittsburgh when Batista was roundly booed for not being Daniel Bryan. This time it was Reigns, the new golden boy, who was subjected to that reaction.
