To the shock and surprise of all, Bryan went in at 10 and was eliminated not long after. He didn't get a big run in the match and he was treated not all that different than any of the other mid-carders Wyatt had tossed.
Naturally, the crowd in Philadelphia turned on the match and booed everyone outside of Ambrose, Ziggler, and, when he showed up late, The Rock. But they booed the hell out of Roman Reigns, even after he won and The Rock gave him a glowing endorsement.
That seemed to be WWE's plan, to bring Rock in and have him give Reigns his blessing. The hope was the fans would do the same.
They did not.
The show went off the air much like last year in Pittsburgh when Batista was roundly booed for not being Daniel Bryan. This time it was Reigns, the new golden boy, who was subjected to that reaction.
