We knew that NXT would be airing on the WWE Network on Wednesdays rather than go head-to-head withSmackdown when it moves to Thursdays on January 15, 2015.
Now, both moves are official. Starting with last night's episode of NXT, WWE was heavily promoting both moves. The Network exclusive show gets a commercial that's nearly as funny and 100% more gorgeous than the spot for Smackdown's move on SyFy - thanks to its use of Prince Pretty, Tyler Breeze, as pitchman.
Worth noting that the broadcast is also moving up by an hour to 8PM Eastern. This puts the show on in the same timeslot as El Rey Network's Lucha Underground, a show whose ratings probably aren't much of a threat to WWE, but that does feature some audience crossover.
Of course, as a featured offering on the over-the-top streaming service, NXT watching isn't tied to any specific air time. No word on if the show will continue to be released earlier in the day prior to its promoted primetime slot.
See you Uggos on Wednesday, January 14th!
