The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the Royal Rumble event set to take place on Sun., Jan. 25, 2015, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the company's annual beginning of the year showcase featuring its most popular gimmick match. It will crown the next number one contender to the WWE world heavyweight championship.
We're just one week out from showtime and so far two matches have been made official.
- Royal Rumble
The annual 30 man over-the-top-rope battle royal. Here are the current list of names confirmed for the match:
- Roman Reigns
- Daniel Bryan
- Rusev
- Bad News Barrett
- Bray Wyatt
- Dean Ambrose
- Goldust
- Stardust
- Big Show
- Kane
- Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena vs. Seth Rollins
This was originally a Lesnar vs. Cena match for the WWE world heavyweight championship but as a reward for getting them reinstated, The Authority inserted Rollins into the match.
- The Usos vs. The Miz & Damien Mizdow
Because these two teams haven't had enough matches against each other, tag team titles on the line or not.
It's expected that two more matches will be added to the card.
