A few months ago, I started a little numbers research that I posted in the comments section of the Rumor Roundup. The idea was to look back 6 months ago and evaluate the veracity of the rumors that Randall Ortman does an excellent job corralling for us every day. Then I’d keep tally of percentage of accuracy of internet wrestling rumors.
While I enjoyed doing that, I ended up petering out pretty quickly for a couple of reasons:
1) Even doing something simple like that everyday can be overwhelming to do when you have a full time job. I’ll take this moment to commend those who contribute this site daily.
2) I found certain days, there were no real rumors. Just information.
3) I actually don’t read the Rumor Roundup much any more. It’s just a small thing I do to try to keep myself surprised with story direction/returns.
So I’ve decided to take a different approach and evaluate a week’s worth of rumors at a time. I am going to take out extraneous non-rumors and then run a tally at the end. I’m also going to . If you guys enjoy the look back, I’ll keep at it.
Independence Day Rumors started off discussing a Shiled Reunion at the end of this year beginning of next. So too early to evaluate. But amazing that was a rumor so close to the Shield breakup
Tough Enough still be considered, but due to budget cuts, likely is going to get cut.
Which is a correct rumor. There has been no tough enough. (1/1)
Dixie Carter was legit hurt during her table spot (which had not yet aired) in NYC.
This is a difficult one because I have a difficult time finding any actual story about it asides from the rumor. However, I did find a September article confirming it, which is good it enough for me. It’s not an exact science. (1/1)
Not much a rumor, but GFW was still "in negotiations" for a TV deal, which apparently they still are.
No deal with Sting yet, though both sides want to. Undertaker vs. Sting is being considered, but Undertaker may be retiring as well.
Remember all those Sting rumors? At least he’s finally appeared. Unfortunately, his Wrestlemania plans and Undertaker’s health is yet determined. We can revisit this in the future.
Ric Flair will return to Raw soon, maybe even next week.

This is incorrect. Monday Night War is a big post Raw show I believe. I will say that WWE.com has a horrible layout for the Network schedule. (0/1)
TNA will not hold a Bound for Glory Series
True story. Which I was kind of upset about because I always thought it was a great concept. Then again, Bound for Glory, TNA’s biggest show, was a throw away show that had no impact on the story. (1/1)
There’s a big rumor about the Shield guys being in the Rumble alone together. Plus this is a really early mention of Roman winning the Rumble. We’ll find out in a couple of weeks.
Jericho may work with Miz at Battleground and hold off the Wyatt feud at Summerslam.
Incorrect. Instead we got that sloppy show between Jericho and Wyatt which Jericho surprisingly won (0/1)
Adam Rose is very close to being demoted back to NXT.
This did not happen. He is still lingering around, but at least it’s in his heel form, which I enjoy more and has more potential. (0/1)
The only real rumor this day was the belief that likely, Cena would lose the WWE title to Brock at Summerslam and Brock would likely lose it himself at Night of Champions, which did not happen. (0/1)
CM Punk's contract with WWE apparently comes up on July 17 and, according to PW Insider, it isn't believed WWE has had much, if any, contact with him since February. For those who pay attention to such things, July 17 appears to be the day to check the WWE roster page to see if he's still listed.
Oh this one is grand, so grand that I copied it verbatim. By the time this rumor was written, CM Punk was already fired by WWE, since he was married in June. (0/1)

A lot of non-rumors and nothing to grade. However, I would like to mention that WWE at the time had no plans moving forward with Daniel Bryan due to the uncertainty of his injury. Which is awesome to write knowing that he’ll be back in the ring (or so they say) next Thursday!
They also talked about how if Renee Young does well with Superstars, we can see her on Raw or Smackdown eventually. While not a gradable rumor, she certainly isn’t part of the shuffle that happened. But eventually is a broad term.
