Rumor Roundup (Sept. 30, 2014): Hell in a Cell matches, Luke Harper promo, Bray Wyatt vs. Sting, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Regarding Hell in a Cell, these are the rumored matches floating around, some more believable than others: John Cena vs. Dean Ambrose early in the show and the winner gets Seth Rollins later; AJ Lee vs. Paige in a Divas championship match; Brie vs. Nikki Bella. So far, that's it. The Brie-Nikki bout has been rumored to be a Hell in a Cell match but that just seems ludicrous.
  • The videos that aired on Raw last night showcasing Bray Wyatt pushing Luke Harper have fueled speculation that Erick Rowan has been left out in the cold. As of right now, that does not appear to be the case.
  • Although Geno had some fun poking the nest speculating on a potential Bray Wyatt-Sting feud after the former posted a tweet referencing a scorpion, the early word is that it has nothing to do with the Stinger.
  • Curtis Axel, who hasn't been on Raw for a number of weeks, is teasing a return soon while also saying a "door will be closing". It would appear that's a reference to his tag team with Ryback.
  • Global Force Wrestling is finally going to promote an actual pay-per-view event early next year on Jan. 4, 2015. According to PW Insider, it will be the annual New Japan Pro Wrestling Tokyo Dome event but will be branded GFW in the United States.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
