Rumor Roundup (Sept. 26, 2014): AJ Lee nude photo debunked, Brock Lesnar deal, WWE power struggle, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • The Wrestling Observer actually outright reported that AJ Lee was a victim of the celebrity nude hacking controversy. However, it appears the photos purported to be of AJ are not actually her and it's all a hoax.
  • Although Brock Lesnar's contract with WWE comes up next April after WrestleMania 31, there have apparently been no talks between the two sides of getting another deal done.
  • According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there may be a power struggle backstage at WWE with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon on one side and George Barrios and Michelle Wilson on the other. Nothing in depth about what that means exactly but it's noted that the latter group were in charge of the launch of the WWE Network and the new television deal with NBCUniversal.
  • If you thought there were issues with Raw this week, that's because word going around is that Vince McMahon ordered a rewrite at about 6:40 p.m.
  • Although he is still with Ring of Honor, WWE has apparently shown interest in signing Adam Cole at some point in the (possibly near) future.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
