Rumor Roundup (Sept. 25, 2014): Brock Lesnar, Total Divas, The Bunny reveal, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • As mentioned on the site yesterday, WWE is publicly denying that Brock Lesnar is dealing with an illness. There's no indication that he ever was, other than the weird rumors floating based on his appearance during his matches with John Cena over the past month. Either way, it now appears as though he's not booked to work the Hell in a Cell event and if he does end up on the show, it will be a last minute decision once the creative direction is worked out.
  • The reason none of the women on the roster who appear on Total Divas have won the Divas championship is apparently because Vince McMahon has specifically forbade as much. There's also some frustration, it seems, with how to book those Divas on WWE shows so they sync up with what is airing on Total Divas. This is a problem, of course, because that show is shot months in advance and it's difficult to account for that.
  • Justin Gabriel and Sami Zayn are still said to be playing The Bunny on television but the reason they're feuding with Slater Gator is apparently for a big reveal when The Bunny removes the mask and Darren Young is underneath to reignite the issue with Titus O'Neil.
  • Prince Devitt's name in NXT will be "Finn Balor", according to PW Insider.
  • The TV network now the most closely tied to TNA is WGN America. There are once again rumors that Dixie Carter met with the locker room and promised they would be on TV in some form or fashion by early next year and it's expected WGN America will be the landing spot. The new deal could be announced in time for Bound for Glory.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
