Total Divas ratings rebound despite competition from WWE Night of Champions

WWE.com

After a big drop from the season premiere, WWE and E! Television's Total Divas made a nice comeback with its third episode of season three this past Sunday, September 21st.

The show had 1,188,000 viewers, which is up 214,000 from the second episode the week before and almost brings it back to the heights of its opener.  In addition to the usual competition from NBC's Sunday Night Football (this week was the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. the Carolina Panthers, which drew 19.1 million viewers when head-to-head with Total Divas), the reality show also was up against another WWE product in the Night of Champions pay-per-view (PPV).

Everyone involved has to be pretty pleased with the rebound.  The show, focused on the behind-the-scenes life of female performers in the sports entertainment giant's programming, is proving to pretty resilient overall despite week-to-week fluctuations.

Here's a rundown of viewership through the three weeks of the current season:

Week one - 1,200,000

Week two - 974,000

Week three - 1,188,000
