Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- Even with a win over John Cena at Night of Champions, which would mean he retains the WWE world heavyweight championship, Brock Lesnar is expected to take more time off after the event. It's been said WWE would have him skip Hell in a Cell but work Survivor Series.
- Although he is not booked for a match, Bray Wyatt is apparently scheduled to make an appearance at Night of Champions this Sunday.
- Luke Harper has apparently been seen wearing an eye patch, so he's working through an eye injury.
- The WWE tease for the next generation on Sept. 22 is thought to be about the WWE 2K15 video game as opposed to anything related to NXT, though of course this is the Rumor Roundup so it being about NXT is possible.
- For that matter, the reason WWE has decided to book NXT talents for upcoming episodes of Raw is to put over the brand in the hopes it will help sell the WWE Network. The idea of growing NXT into something much bigger than it is now is taking shape.
