Dino Bravo's Cageside Evaluation

What you loved:

1. Heel - Solid heel who was a decent enough threat to beat your hero.
2. World Record - Via Wiki: "At the 1988 Royal Rumble, Bravo (who was legitimately strong and was said to be able to press more than 500 pounds) attempted to bench press what he claimed was 715 pounds, which would have been a world record at the time. Commentator Jesse 'The Body' Ventura helped lift the bar at one point, but Bravo played the lift as a success and began billing himself as the 'World's Strongest Man.'"
3. Physique - Muscular, legit strong man, looked like a pro wrestler.
4. Earthquake Debut - Dino played a major part in this entertaining debut.
5. Name - Great wrestling name.

What you loathed:

1. Charisma - Never had a sparkling personality. This was covered up by having managers like Frenchy Martin, Jimmy Hart, and Johnny Valiant to speak for him.
2. R.I.P. - Had an unfortunate end, allegedly being involved in illegal cigarette smuggling, Bravo was shot in his home.

That was it for trends, couple things mentioned: no IC title run and had a mid-card ceiling that he never rose above.

"If you read Bret’s book, he claims that Dino nearly killed him. According to Bret, Dino wanted to do that spot where Bret would run full steam into the corner turnbuckle and smash chest first. Then act like he couldn’t breathe from the impact. Well, problem was, Dino threw him so hard that when he hit the turnbuckle he broke something, and Bret really couldn’t breathe. Bret tried his hardest to let Dino know he couldn’t breathe for real, but Dino was just soaking in all the heat he got from the spot, while Bret was legit hurt. Anyways, that’s what Bret claims."
