Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of WWE NXT in its regular Thursday night at 9PM Eastern time slot on WWE Network. We'll have our regular reactions post later, but we'll post match results here. More importantly, this gives you Cagesiders a dedicated place to rave and/or bitch about whatever goes down on the show dedicated to WWE's Florida-based developmental program - as it airs!
Last week, Angelo Dawkins was quickly ready for his Beauty Shot, clearing the ring for Tyler Breeze to show us his MTV Euro award-winning and future Oscar contending music video again. NXT Champion Adrian Neville interrupted him to ask when the #1 contender would sign up for the title match he earned back at Takeover (1). Prince Pretty wouldn't give him an answer and went for a cheap shot, but scurried away after a few kicks for the Brit. Lots of doings in the tag division, as The Ascension ran their record-setting streak as titleholders to 302 days with another victory over local talent while Mojo Rawley formed an alliance with Bull Dempsey and defeated a returning Scott Dawson and his new Mechanics partner Dash Wilder. Women's champ Charlotte decisively defeated a game Becky Lynch, and Tyson Kidd didn't like the fact that his wife is a Rosebud. He ended up a lemon when Adam Rose rolled him up while he was trying to give Natalya a piece of his mind.
This week...Xavier Woods gets another chance to even the score with CJ Parker - will the PhD candidate be the Dragonball Z-loving character he's known for on NXT, or the ruthless man with a plan he's been on the main shows of late? A tournament to determine who will next challenge Konnor and Viktor for the tag belts kicks off, and we haven't even seen a bracket yet! Last week, WWE confirmed an announcement by Triple H at a recent taping that another live special will hit WWE Network on September 11th. The road to Takeover 2: The Quickening starts now!
NOTE: Spoilers are out there for these pre-taped broadcasts, but yours truly and many of our regulars don't partake. If you are going to post or discuss spoilers for this show before they happen, or results of future shows, please use the spoiler bar in your comment.
