Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- With Paul Heyman coming out and saying he believes CM Punk's intention is to make sure he never returns to professional wrestling, while also saying that WWE probably doesn't want him back, it's been said that WWE does not, in fact, want him back right now and what's more they're still exploring legal ramifications for Punk walking out earlier this year. So while it seems like this thing is done, it could get ugly in a hurry.
- Word on the street is the "special guests" planned for next week's Raw show centered on celebrating Hulk Hogan's birthday could include Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. That's right, the nWo may be reuniting.
- Triple H may end up as special guest referee for the Stephanie McMahon vs. Brie Bella match at SummerSlam.
- Dave Meltzer recently hinted that WWE has talked about cutting guys that if they did would "completely outrage" people. No word on who he may be referencing.
- The reason Big Show hasn't returned to television is because creative has nothing for him. He's been at the shows and working dark matches but there's no story for him at the moment. That could change soon, but for now that's why he's out.
