WWE came close to booking its entire match card for the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., Aug. 17, 2014, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, yesterday, announcing several bouts before Monday Night Raw and a couple after.
The Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins match was made official, though the stipulation won't be announced until tonight's SmackDown taping. Ambrose won a "Beat the Clock" challenge for the right to choose the match type. Current rumorssuggest a Street Fight.
Elsewhere, The Miz will continue his feud with Dolph Ziggler, this time putting his Intercontinental championship on the line. Ziggler is 1-0 against Miz since they started the program.
That brings the total number of matches official for the show to eight.
