The main event of tonight's SummerSlam pay-per-view (PPV) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California featured John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar in a straight singles match for the WWE world heavyweight championship.
To give you an idea of what kind of match this was going to be, they brawled for about 30 seconds, then Lesnar just picked Cena up and hit him with an F-5 that very nearly got a three count.
It felt like it was going to, even when you knew it wasn't.
Brock proceeded to smash Cena with like 876 suplexes. It got to be somewhat brutal, actually, until Cena suddenly did his hulk up thing and hit an AA. He couldn't get the pinfall on it, though, and Lesnar responded by sitting up like Undertaker and laughing.
Then, another suplex. And another. And another.
He was literally screaming at Cena to die.
Like he always does, Cena recovered quickly and locked on the STF. It didn't matter.
Lesnar broke out of it and proceeded to continue the beating, laying a number of punches in on Cena before hitting another F-5 that got the pin and the victory.
