WWE NXT results, live open thread for August 14, 2014: Wanna-Breeze

Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of WWE NXT in its regular Thursday night at 9PM Eastern time slot on WWE Network. We'll have our regular reactions post later, but we'll post match results here. More importantly, this gives you Cagesiders a dedicated place to rave and/or bitch about whatever goes down on the show dedicated to WWE's Florida-based developmental program - as it airs!

Last week, the tag tournament bracket was revealed and two first round matches kicked it off.  Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady defeated Tye Dillinger & Jason Jordan to take one step closer to becoming the #1 contenders to The Ascension's titles, then Sami Zayn got a surprise partner in the visiting Adam Rose and scored a somewhat surprising victory over the established pair of Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel to do the same.  Someone who already holds the distinction of being a #1 contender, Tyler Breeze, announced his intention to have a match with NXT champ Adrian Neville soon.  CJ Parker continued to have Xavier Woods' number, winning another one-on-one contest between the two, while Bayley did what WWE Divas champ AJ Lee couldn't do on Raw this week when she defeated Total Diva Eva Marie.

This week...a "Live Event" quality card includes a long-awaited showdown.  Prince Pretty has deemed tonight the night that the Era of Gorgeous begins, and called his shot to face Neville for the NXT title.  The tag tournament continues with the last two first round match-ups: Sin Cara & Kalisto will face the new team of Wesley Blake & Buddy Murphy, and in a more marquee bout, The Vaudevillains will square off against Mojo Rawley and Bull Dempsey.  And if that wasn't enough of a crazy packed show for you right there, Bayley will look to keep her winning streak alive and officially become the #1 contender to Charlotte's Women's title when she faces old nemesis Sasha Banks!

• Bayley defeats Sasha Banks via pinfall with a roll-up while in a crossface to become the #1 contender to the NXT Women's championship

• Sin Cara & Kalisto defeat Wesley Blake & Buddy Murphy via pinfall following a standing shiranui from Kalisto on Murphy to advance in the tournament to determine the #1 contenders for the NXT Tag Team Championship

• Adrian Neville (c) defeats Tyler Breeze via disqualification when Tyson Kidd interferes
