WWE Main Event results, open thread (Aug. 12, 2014): Open challenge

WWE Main Event comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Tues., Aug. 12, 2014) from Seattle, Washington's KeyArena, and we'll have complete results and an open thread for the show right when it kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on the WWE Network.

Tonight's show will feature tag team champions The Usos facing an open challenge...please be SLATER GATOR!

Be sure to come back here at 8 p.m. ET for the Main Event live blog.

- The Usos are FIGHTING CHAMPIONS and, as such, have requested a title bout tonight from The Authority.  That lead to the open challenge of this post's title, and Rybaxel answer the call.  Before they can get into it, singlet thief Rob Van Dam shows up.  Ryback calls him a dummy for not having a partner, and Sheamus answers that call.  The competing challengers brawl, but Corporate Kane appears to make a title three-way tonight's main event.

- Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena video

- Seth Rollins vs. Kofi Kingston.  Good match that Rollins controls for the most part.  Seth counters a superplex attempt with a bucklebomb, and then a Curb Stomp for the win.

- Ah, "New Nation"...we hardly knew ye.  Actually, we didn't.

- Stephanie McMahon vs. Brie Bella recap

- Main event on Main Event!  Ryback does most of the heavy lifting leading up to the commercial break, then Sheamus and RVD take over until an Uso goes crazy and takes everyone out on the floor.  The finish sees Van Dam hit a spinning heel kick, then the Five Star Frog Splash on Curtis Axel, but Jimmy (I think) comes off the top and covers both to retain.
