Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact; so remember to take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Apparently there's already concern over how to handle Seth Rollins' going forward. The plan as it stands now is for Brock Lesnar to win the title from John Cena before losing it to, well, someone, at Night of Champions. Unless they can find a way to get Lesnar to work more dates, in which case they could keep the belt on him all the way up until WrestleMania 31 next year when he would lose it to Roman Reigns. That leaves them in a tough spot regarding Rollins with how much emphasis has been placed on his having the briefcase. There's also been talk of him losing the briefcase to Dean Ambrose as Ambrose catches on with fans.
  • The Wrestling Observer recently reported that there are people working for the WWE Network who "have no idea at all what's going on as far as the Network goes". Whatever that means.
  • Santino Marella is staying on with WWE in an on-screen role, though it's not known exactly what he'll be doing at this time. Don't be surprised if he sticks with Emma whenever she returns to TV.
  • Emma, by the way, is apparently being kept off TV for now to give the arrest story time to properly die down. She's not expected to be buried when she comes back.
  • It hasn't been officially added just yet but Rusev vs. Jack Swagger is definitely headed for the Battleground event on July 20.
  • This year's WrestleMania 30 special on NBC will serve as a lead-in to a preseason Sunday Night Football Hall of Fame game between the New York Giants and Buffalo Bills on August 3.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
