What you loved:
- Dedication - Perfect example of being 100% invested in a gimmick, and making it work.
- "Ohhhh Yesss!" - Let's hear it Paul.
- Best Ever- Many of you have him as one of the best, if he isn't on the Mount Rushmore of managers, he's a dollar bill for sure.
- Undertaker - Undertaker's gimmick could have crashed and burned, but Paul helped round things out and give it character depth.
- Hates Dunn - By all accounts Paul was a nice guy, and loved by nearly everyone, apparently he wasn't a fan of Kevin Dunn (NSFW - Language).
Best comment comes via The ShockMaster:
"One of the greatest managers in professional wrestling history. I first saw him as Percival Pringle III, and in hindsight, you can see in that earlier work that all the tools were there, just waiting for the right combination of client and gimmick to go from "really good" to "legend." An absolute genius in terms of ring psychology, whether he was actively doing something like sticking Warrior in a casket or turning on Taker, or simply chewing scenery at ringside. A genuinely nice and gentle person; was about as universally liked on a personal level as anyone in the history of the business. His Hall of Fame induction was genuinely touching."

What you loathed:
- R.I.P. - His passing hit many of us hard, thank you for the memories, he was 58.
- Later Years - Around 2010 and on, WWE didn't use him properly, and his weight affected what he could do as a manager.
- Turns - Creative had him turn almost as much as Big Show. The more it occurs, the less impact it has the fans.
- Taker/Punk Feud - Although it was cleared with his family, the way he was used in their feud made some of you uncomfortable.
- One Dimensional - He managed many wrestlers, but only really got over guys with his creepy Paul Bearer gimmick, namely The Undertaker.
Best comment comes via Mark_McQ:
"He died. Well, technically several times, but once for real."
On to the poll! With 270 votes, Paul Bearer's average score is 4.6
Thanks, Cagesiders! Tomorrow's pick only knows one time.
Until then!
