WWE NXT results, live open thread for July 3, 2014: Badly Fractured Friendship

Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of WWE NXT in its regular Thursday night at 9PM Eastern time slot on WWE Network. We'll have our regular reactions post later, but we'll post match results here. More importantly, this gives you Cagesiders a dedicated place to rave and/or bitch about whatever goes down on the show dedicated to WWE's Florida-based developmental program - as it airs!

Last week, a couple of newcomers won their debuts, as throwback Bull Dempsey powered to victory over Xavier Woods and plucky lass Becky Lynch took advantage of the BFFs internal squabbling to roll-up Summer Rae.  Big Cass got a victory over a jobber, but was surrounded by his French nemeses, Sylvester Lefort and Marcus Louis.  Luckily, fellow realest guy in the room Enzo Amore returned to run off the villains and electrify Full Sail Live.  Some other villains - Vaudevillains, that is - enjoyed a rousing round of sport, as the vanquished some local talent.  And NXT champion Adrian Neville celebrated a clean win over a personal hero, the visiting Rob Van Dam - while #1 contender Tyler Breeze watched from the announce desk.

This much adorable can one ring hold?  We'll find out, as Lynch jigs her way into a partnership with the quirky Bayley!  They'll face the Beautiful Fierce Females who appear to still be on the same page, Women's champ Charlotte and The Boss, Sasha Banks.  WWE's video preview for the show focuses on Breeze and Neville.  With the challenger nursing a hand injury, it will be interesting to see how they build a potentially hot program without getting too physical.  So far, Prince Pretty has been handling his title shot almost like a Money in the Bank contract - will he continue to play mind games by stalking The Jumping Geordie?  Sami Zayn hinted last week that he plans to even the score with Tyson Kidd for walking out on their tag title shots a couple of weeks back.  And will anyone rise up and provide a real challenge to the men holding those tag belts, The Ascension?

NOTE: Spoilers are out there for these pre-taped broadcasts, but yours truly and many of our regulars don't partake.  If you are going to post or discuss spoilers for this show before they happen, or results of future shows, please use the spoiler bar in your comment.

Enjoy the show!
